Fabian Edelstam 21 January, 2015 by Mette Von Schack 21 May 201514 June 2015Hotel Diplomat and Pierre & Peter’s Interior proudly present a collection of unique artwork by Fabian Edelstam in this year’s big exhibition. Hazy Amber Days is an exhibition consisting of eclectically depicted portraits, executed in a pixel / mosaic technique, and where the artist revisits the Swedish 1700’s but also draws inspiration from modern icons of today. In this colourful whirlwind, we also notice Nils von Dardel (Fabian Edelstam great-grandfather), Grace Kelly, the Supremes, Brigitte Bardot and a few of the artist’s unique travelling souvenirs from Japan. The exhibition Hazy Amber Days is being displayed May 21 – June 14 2015.

The exhibition is on display in the lounge from 16 January until the end of February 2015.

The collection includes images of legends like Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, Queen Elizabeth II, Jimmy Page and Mick Jagger. Some of the exhibited pictures had never before been shown in Stockholm.

The so-called Super Election took place in South Africa 20 years ago. Mandela, released from 27 years of captivity, stepped out into freedom without any sign of bitterness, and talked about justice, peace and friendship.

These prominent Swedish photographers have all depicted the rockband Jetbone, with inspiration from their own personal idols.

The story was the starting point for a long diplomatic friendship between Portugal and Sweden.
