@Diplomat Abstrakt 4 April, 2018 by Mette Von Schack April 11 – April 15 We are proud to present Galleri Charlotte Lund’s exhibition @Diplomat Abstakt, by Patrik Aarnivaara and Marcus Eek, during Stockholm Art Week . Both of the artists grasp the concept of abstraction from different angles and in different materials. The result is paintings and sculptures expressing playfulness within sharp limits. Marcus Eek works with acrylic and oil, completely focused on abstract painting inspired by light, material and balance. Patrik Aarnivaara creates sculptures and works with photography and video. The new sculptures are made of plastic, brass and metal and the mind of measuring instruments. The exhibition is on view in our Lounge 11-15 April
Phitsamone Souvannavong 24 November, 2017 by Mette Von Schack 7 December – 25 Januari The four photographers Tokihiro Sato, Hiromi Kakimoto, Mami Kosemura and Takayoshi Tsuchiya participated in the Crossing Views project – an art project with social commitment developed by Cmarts in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. “The project can be described as an attempt to see the Alps characterized by tourism. Crossing views is not about the encounter between cultures, but represents the deconstruction of what is picturesque” – Chihiro Minato, Photographer and Art critic. The exhibition is on view in our Lounge until January 25th, 2018.
Wolfgang Lehmann 25 January, 2017 by Mette Von Schack February 9 – March 31 The exhibition, Landscape and Symmetry, displays the work created by Wolfgang Lehmann 2012-2017, and shows photographs from the artist’s fascination for landscapes, cities and his obsession with overlays. Behind every image is usually multi exposures and Wolfgang himself refers to his work as process-photography, as the result of his photographs is often a painterly image. Wolfgang Lehmann, born in Germany 1967 and currently living in Stockholm since 2006, is a lens-based artist who creates video, installation and photography. Wolfgang’s work has been exhibited at several great and meaningful museums and events/festivals such as; Kuryokhin Center in St. Petersburg, Museo Lazaro Galdiano in Madrid, MoCa Museum of contemporary art in Shanghai, New York film festival and many others.
Kristofer Lönnå 9 August, 2016 by Mette Von Schack September 22 – October 24 Hotel Diplomat is proud to present Photographer Kristofer Lönnå’s latest project My Way. Kristofer started off as an assistant at a video production and advertising agency, and in 2005 he started working as an advertising photographer. My way is a humoristic portrayal of famous people in situations set up by the photographer. Kristofer has portrait people that he has been inspired by, such as Lasse Åberg, Carolina af Ugglas, Lars-Åke “Babsan” Vilhelmsson, Johan Jureskog etc.
Oskar Ohlson 3 May, 2016 by Mette Von Schack Islands Art & Documentary Photographer Oskar Ohlson, born in 1965 in Stockholm is now showing his work from exciting adventure expeditions to four different islands; Madagascar, Cuba, Gran Canaria and the island of Gotland, which are all old islands of Pirates. The exhibition, currently on display at Hotel Diplomat, is a tribute to the Classic black/white art photography, in the form of unique painterly silver gelatin copies. The exhibition is on display in our Lounge 19 May – 30 June, 2016

In the exhibition “Min Värld en stund”, abstract photography and sculptures are presented based on random items found by Rebecka Dahlén in Costa Rica and New Zealand. Johanna Wulff 3 November, 2015 by Mette Von Schack FORTSÄTTARNA Swedish photographer Johanna Wulff has spent the last three years portraying working artists who haven’t retired from their endeavours despite reaching the age of 80. Her idea is that artists are driven by their creativity and would rather die than give up their work. Fascinating and touching art.
