André Wolff 3 October, 2016 by 27 October – 22 November Kings of Farao is a photographic landscape project, which revolves around the interplay between nature and man. The project was shot near the lighthouse – Farao – in Capri Island, a place that becomes the meeting point of the local youth during summer. Youngsters spend their days there, challenging themselves in heroic battles involving the four elements, becoming one with their natural habitat, appropriating space and time like only kings can do. The project was realized by awards from Hasselblad Foundation and San Michele Foundation, including a month long residence at the renowned Villa Axel Munthe, in Anacapri. In addition, the photo project was awarded publication grants from Längmanska Kulturfonden and the book – Kings of Farao – was released in 2016.
