News at the hotel
HOTEL ROOMS. During the winter we have been refurbishing an additional number of rooms in our Executive Deluxe category. The bright Scandinavian colour scheme, the handpicked design furniture and the marbled bathrooms will further contribute to an invigorating and luxurious stay.
ART. Paul Sundvik, photographer and diver is exhibiting his exciting new exhibition A Surreal Journey into the Blue, in the lounge. Photography combined with diving is a challenge and the eye for detail, stamina and proficiency is clearly shown in Paul’s pictures. All are taken underwater, exposing a new world that makes your mind wander off to mysterious places. On show from March 20 to April 20.
RESTAURANT. On November 22–23rd, chef Paul Svensson visited T/BAR's kitchen on an exclusive guest appearance. Paul got his inspiration from the forrest, from where he also got the local and fresh produce behind the exciting courses. The guest appearances are a part of a strategy to inspire a dynamic and exciting concept and a diversified food culture at T/BAR.
ART. Photographer Henrik Montgomery is currently exhibiting his interpretation of André Oliveiras book Marathon To Eternity in the lounge at Hotel Diplomat. This joint Swedish-Portuguese initiative is inspired by a runner’s tragic death during the Stockholm Marathon in 1912. Displayed in the lounge at Hotel Diplomat, 28 November - 31 January 2014.
GUEST SERVICES. Hotel Diplomat Stockholm is first in Sweden to install the latest and most advanced TV system on the market, Sensiq by Quadriga. ALL guests staying at the hotel can now access free Internet, free video-on-demand and can easily connect their smart phone to this brilliant system. Enjoy it all from the brand new flat-screen TV's from Samsung.
GUEST SERVICES. Argan is the name of the new luxury body products found in our bathrooms. The producer, Côté Bastide, base the products on extracts from the Argan fruit, giving a blissful and soft feeling, and leaving you with a great sense of wellbeing for the rest of the day. In Sweden, this serie is found only at Hotel Diplomat.

REVIEWS. TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, has awarded us a Certificate of Excellence! A Certificate of Excellence is given to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding travel reviews from guests, and Hotel Diplomat, amongst other praise and recognition, has been honoured for its outstanding hospitality.
RESTAURANT. Not to worry about the autumn breeze this season. T/BAR's outdoor terrace, has installed new, extra-strong heaters. The terrace is open until October 15.
News for August 2013
RESTAURANT. Freshly cooked crayfish and seed-spiced cheese is a longstanding late summer tradition, best enjoyed in the company of friends and family. Wash the beasts down with aquavit and a cold beer in our restaurant T/BAR. On the menu from late August until mid-September.
ART. Another eleven pictures will be added to Lennart Durehed’s seven photographs that already adorn the walls in the Lounge. The Gothenburg-born photographer/artist is in the limelight with his photo series Ceilings and Vicinity, focusing mainly on urban, industrial surroundings and cityscapes. Visit until October 1st.

RESTAURANT. This season, we will be serving homemade ice cream from a gelateria-trolley at the terrace outside T/BAR for those wishing to cool down in the hot summer sun.
ART. We are showing a selection of photographer Lennart Durehed's work in the lounge this summer. In August, we will display a full exhibition, starting with an opening event.

GUEST SERVICES. The hotel's newly built fitness studio / gym is now open. Equipped with twelve brand new machines, weights, exercise bikes and a room for stretching and relaxation, this new addition is definitely worth a visit. Book from the front desk.
HOTEL ROOMS. Hotel Diplomat has just accomplished its latest modernization project. A majority of the double and single rooms have received a face lift with renovated bathrooms and new textiles. The lobby has a new look as well, and the Diplomat logo has a new, timeless design.
